Electronic Repair Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of electronic devices and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

• Involves working with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through‑hole.
• Quality Inspection:
  • Conduct visual inspections of components, in‑process assemblies, and final products for defects, such as solder joint issues, component misplacement, polarity errors, and general damage.
  • Utilize inspection equipment like microscopes and specialized lighting.
  • Verify compliance with industry standards, such as IPC‑A‑610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) or J‑STD‑001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies).
  • Use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  • Accurately document inspection results, defects, and non‑conformities using computer systems or written logs.
  • Maintain records for traceability and quality assurance.
• Safety & Process Adherence:
  • Also, understand basic electronic theory, be able to do electrical testing work with a lead test technician to compile a good quality process flow.

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary training in electronics technology or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electronic repair or a technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and repair techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and service documentation.
