Position Summary

of drawings/specifications logs/binders and implement document control procedures. Collects, maintains and distributes documents necessary to define product configuration and control technical processes that insure conformance to customer requirements. Maintains a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center. Collects and maintains files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration and control technical or manufacturing processes.

Ensures timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution. Maintains a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents. Performs clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary. Performs job in accordance with document control practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand and perform to all current quality standards.
  • Prepare, update, and inspect Company and Customer inspection records for errors and completeness as required.
  • Complete and correct procedures, as changes to requirements are received.
  • Assist with customer quality audits and answer corrective action requests as assigned.
  • Assist with all scheduled internal/external audits.
  • Perform specification audits and purchase new specs as needed.
  • Perform gap analysis and update quality documents.
  • Assist with customer returns.
  • Work with other departments to manage files.
  • Review and verify special process logs as applicable.
  • Complete quality projects as assigned.
  • Understand and verify compliance with customer and industry standards.
  • Inspect and correct model-based mylars to ensure correct dimensions for manufacturing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Experience and

Education:

1-2 years of relevant experience High school degree or equivalent, plus advanced training

Technical

Skills:

Excellent attention to detail Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements Basic computer skills Problem solving abilities Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions) Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player Understand and obey safety requirements Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris
