Support and mentor individuals with developmental disabilities at their job sites, and provide job development for those seeking employment in the Orange County area. Responsibilities include resume building, interview preparation, transportation assistance, and maintaining employment relationships for clients in North Orange County (Cypress, Los Alamitos, Brea, Yorba Linda, Anaheim).
Key Responsibilities- Implement IRI’s mission and person‑centered values.
- Provide respectful, dignified interaction with clients, employers, and stakeholders.
- , integrated work schedules and identify suitable job placements.
- Provide encouraged, meaningful employment activities and support clients in staying employed.
- Implement adaptation strategies and devices tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain essential documents: daily care notes, clocking, personnel files.
- Attend staff development training and communicate updates to supervisors and circles of support.
- Apply for job placements, facilitate applications, and coordinate with prospective employers.
- Shadow and train other coaches as needed.
- Adhere to emergency protocols and report incidents to Support Manager.
- Two years of college or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in job development and on‑the‑job support preferred.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in community settings.
- Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills; proficient with computers and online platforms.
- Positive behavior support training experience preferred.
- Commitment to inclusion and integrated employment for persons with disabilities.
- Commitment to self‑advocacy and person‑centered planning.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Stand averages: 1 hour/day, sit averages:(css mag 6 h), walk averages: 1 hour/day; frequent bending, stooping, carrying 1‑10 lbs, and occasional driving required.
