Material Handler

Position Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This includes receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing products and supplies while maintaining accuracy, safety, and productivity standards.

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
• Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and proper documentation.
• Organize and store materials in designated areas.
• Prepare and label items for shipping.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Communicate any shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Operate RF scanners or inventory systems (if applicable).

• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand / walk for long periods.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Safety-conscious mindset.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.

• Warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
• May require wearing PPE (gloves, safety vest, steel-toe boots, etc.).
• Shift flexibility may be needed (day, swing, or night).
