Accounts Payable Specialist – Northrim Building

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to play a key role in keeping our Bank and Bank Holding Company operations on track. Pay is depending on experience. Minimum is $20.79/hr.
What You’ll Do (Your Day‑to‑Day Impact)- Review and process accounts payable invoices and employee expense reports, ensuring proper approvals.
- Set up and maintain vendors, including collecting W‑9s and monitoring tax information for 1099 reporting.
- Allocate expenses accurately across departments, including prepaid amortizations.
- Generate checks and ACH payments for vendors.
- Balance critical general ledger accounts daily.
- Prepare and balance intercompany invoices and affiliate accounts.
- Process CDARS entries, weekly settlements, and monthly reporting.
- Manage monthly invoices and maintain Accounts Receivable accounts.
- Create general ledger entries for weekly supply reallocations.
- Keep the office stocked by maintaining and ordering department supplies.
- Complete required compliance training and assist with special projects as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least six months of related office or accounting experience (or equivalent education).
- Related military education or experience is welcomed and valued.
- Solid understanding of basic math and accounting concepts, including debits and credits.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs.
- Analytical thinker who enjoys solving problems and improving processes.
- Clear and professional communicator with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
- Comfortable working under general supervision and taking ownership of your work.
- Strong keyboarding skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel skills are a big plus!).
- Comfortable using standard office equipment and accounting systems.
- Professional office setting with a moderate noise level.
- Collaborative, supportive team atmosphere where accuracy and teamwork matter.
