This position assists with all aspects of staff supervision, including interviewing, hiring, training, discipline, and performance evaluations. The role involves training and orienting new staff, interpreting criminal traffic and minor offense rules, statutes, and municipal ordinances, and responding to inquiries and complaints from the public, attorneys, law enforcement, and government agencies. The position supports case managers, chambers judicial assistants, and magistrate judges within the Third Judicial District by assisting with criminal, traffic, and minor offense procedures, problem‑solving, and rule interpretation.
Additional responsibilities include performing subordinate staff duties as needed, providing in‑court support and backup for traffic hearings, and assuming full supervisory responsibilities in the supervisor’s absence.
Full‑time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a one‑hour lunch break.

Requirements- Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate and two years of office clerical work experience.
- High school diploma or GED certificate substitutes for office clerical experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- 72 semester credit hours or 96 quarter credit hours of accredited college coursework substitutes for the two years of required office clerical experience.
- Vocational training in legal secretary, paralegal, or office skills substitutes for required office clerical experience on a month‑for‑month basis.

- Post‑secondary transcripts if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
- Copies of your most recent performance evaluations, if available.
- A list of three professional references who have had supervisory authority over you, along with daytime contact phone numbers and email addresses.
