The Anchorage In-Court Division is accepting applications for a Court Supervisor 2 (Salary Range 13). Under the general supervision of the In-Court Supervisor, the successful applicant will assist in overseeing daily courtroom operations and supervising Courtroom Judicial Assistants who support criminal, civil, CINA, probate, mental commitment, and guardianship case types.
Personnel rules will be applied to determine step placement for the successful internal candidates.
ResponsibilitiesOrienting and training personnel in the application of court and departmental policies and procedures, court rules, and statutes; monitoring the work of subordinates for accuracy and completeness; assisting with planning, organizing, and streamlining work duties and procedures to obtain efficiency; ensuring clerks are trained in all areas of the division to ensure coverage is available; assisting in setting up video equipment for playback as required;
functioning as an in-court clerk to provide coverage; and performing other duties as assigned or required.
Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for these positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Minimum QualificationsGraduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND two years of office clerical work experience.
Substitutions:
- Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a year-for-year basis.
- Completion of 72 semester credit hours or 96 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the two years of required office clerical work experience.
- Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary, paralegal, or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical work experience on a month-for-month basis.
- A letter of interest, completed per the instructions below.
- Post-secondary transcripts, if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
- Copies of your most recent (2) performance evaluations or two (2) letters of recommendation.
