One year as a Law Office Assistant 1 in State of Alaska OR completion of formal Law Office Assistant training plan OR one year in law office or administrative work with proficiency in electronic systems and word processing for preparing legal documents.
SubstitutionsBachelor’s degree in legal field substitutes for required experience. Associate’s degree or vocational certification in legal support may substitute up to 6 months. Non‑legal post‑secondary may substitute up to 6 months. Vocational‑technical certification in business support up to 3 months.
Special NotesNotary Public required upon hire. Criminal background check required. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
