Construction (QA) Inspector – Airfield/Roadways Pavement
Location:
Anchorage, AK
Base Pay Range: $80,000.00/yr - $/yr
Requirements- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen.
- Must have knowledge of airfield runway construction improvements and pavement resurfacing, and perform and support a three-phase inspection system.
- Provide daily QA reports to document all activities observed for each on-site day in sufficient detail.
- Review construction contractor progress, submittals using a submittal status log, design, comment logging, back-checking, and verify accurate as-built drawings.
- Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor’s requests for payment.
- Ensure safety requirements are met including EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain an Inspector’s Site Inspection Report.
- Assist in response for Requests for Information (RFI), modifications, and change orders.
- Participate in pre-final and final inspections, assist in detail of punch-lists.
- High School diploma or GED with at least 7 years of construction inspection experience, performing QA verification on airfield runway improvements, roadways or pavement resurfacing.
- Associate Degree / Technical Training Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor of Science Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Paving Inspector Certification from the Asphalt Institute required within 30 days of start date.
- Experience in Resident Management System (RMS 3.0), preferred.
- Experience enforcing EM 385-1-1, OSHA rules, and other safety requirements.
- Experience with Federal Construction projects, especially US Army Corps of Engineers.
