In this role, the successful candidate will spearhead all aspects of design, and guide projects from initial concept development through to project closeout. Effective coordination with cross-functional teams and external consultants is essential to ensure that design specifications and quality standards are consistently met. This role requires experience in architectural or engineering firms, the ability to independently manage multiple projects with strong prioritization and time management, and exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration.

- Ability to maintain design integrity as a project moves from concept design through construction documentation.
- Ability to produce and guide the creative thought process for master planning, park design, site design and planting plan solutions.
- Ability to communicate design intent by hand sketching early in the process and quickly converting sketches into a digital format (i.e. Photoshop/AutoCAD) to professionally convey the design intent.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency with producing construction documents for planting plans, playgrounds, court yards, building entry plazas, and drainage features.
- Familiarity with northern building design and construction in remote Alaska, preferred.
- Experience or ambition to work on commercial, military, and park projects, preferred.
