Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Oncologist, based in Anchorage, AK. The Medical Oncologist will provide expert care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with cancer and blood disorders. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, coordinating patient treatment plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and staying current with advancements in oncology practices and research. The role emphasizes providing empathetic, evidence-based care while fostering a healing environment for patients and their families.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Medicine with a specialization in Oncology
  • Proficiency in cancer diagnosis and treatment, including Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy
  • Strong understanding of hematology and oncology principles
  • Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered, compassionate care
  • Current medical license in the state of Alaska or eligibility to obtain one
  • Familiarity with QOPI standards and quality care initiatives is a plus
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
