We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our esteemed client's team in Anchorage, AK

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $300,000 - $400,000 annually, depending on experience and board status.

  • Hiring Bonus/Relocation: Up to $25,000 Signing Bonus, based on commitment length!

Position Summary

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and their families within a multidisciplinary setting. You will be directly involved in complex diagnostic assessment, evidence-based psychopharmacological management, and therapeutic intervention. Your work will require effective collaboration with psychologists, therapists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Assessment: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, formulating accurate diagnoses for a wide range of child and adolescent mental health conditions.

  • Medication Management: Provide expert, evidence-based psychopharmacological management as a core component of individualized treatment plans.

  • Therapeutic Intervention: Offer individual, family, and group therapy when clinically appropriate.

  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with psychologists, therapists, social workers, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHRs).

  • Crisis Response: Provide necessary crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric services.

  • Program Contribution: Actively participate in clinical case conferences and contribute to the development and implementation of new clinical programs and services.

    Education:

    Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and wellness strategies.

Qualifications
  • Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

  • Training: Completion of an accredited General Psychiatry Residency and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship.

  • Certification: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

  • Licensure: Current, unrestricted medical license in the State of Alaska (or immediate eligibility to obtain).

  • Requirements: Active DEA registration.

  • Skills: Superior clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment; excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork capabilities.
