Position: Professional Learning Specialist (Math

Overview

Professional Learning Specialist (Math) – Anchorage, Alaska. This role is not remote; you must live in Anchorage, AK.

Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted professional development to districts and schools, with ongoing in-classroom support and data analysis.
  • Manage daily project activities and communicate with district and site leaders to align implementation plans.
  • Become an expert on Curriculum Associates’ online Diagnostic and Instruction programs, with emphasis on Mathematics and ELA.
  • Support districts in selecting and implementing products with lasting impact on learning.
  • Deliver on-site coaching and professional learning to teachers, coaches, and leaders, including lesson planning, pacing, data-driven instruction, and evidence of implementation successes and challenges.
  • Collaborate with district and site leaders to develop and revise annual professional learning plans and schedules.
  • Act as a thought leader for Curriculum Associates and stay current by attending company-provided educational conferences and participating in team development.
  • Travel to various districts as needed to fulfill role requirements.
Who we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in teaching, coaching teachers, or providing professional development.
  • Fluency with digital tools including online assessments and the ability to discuss and apply data with teachers and leaders.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them to professional learning.
  • Ability to manage, monitor, evaluate, and ensure integrity of program implementations.
  • Ability to provide high-quality classroom coaching to ensure teachers can deliver Curriculum Associates solutions effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within designated territory and to company meetings several times throughout the year (when safe).
  • Strong working knowledge of the State Standards for Mathematics/ELA, Grades K–8, including content and practice standards.
Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, employer-contributed 401K, and company cell phone. Travel points may be kept for work-related travel; mileage reimbursement may be available for applicable travel. Salary range: $60,750 - $99,750.

Travel up to 80% is required and considered an essential function of this role.

Location:

Anchorage, AK, with potential duties in other districts in the state. A valid driver's license is required.
