Instructor – HVAC – Part Time – Day or Evening

Charter College, a fast‑growing career college in Anchorage, AK, is hiring HVAC instructors for its Day or Evening 5‑week classes. Instructors work 10‑12 hours per week, combining classroom teaching and online communication with students. Pay is $1,250.00 to $1,400.00 per course.

• Prepare and provide all lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum.
• Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms for the program.
• Maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events.
• Monitor student attendance and retention and document as required by the administration.
• Grade assignments, return graded assignments to students, and assign final grades for all students in a timely manner.
• Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment.
• Substitute in classes when necessary.
• Advise students on school policies and satisfactory performance; maintain communication with the Dean of Education.
• Monitor all equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities.
• Secure consumable supplies and educational materials from the administrative office when needed.
• Maintain professional appearance.
• Maintain professional expertise by attending seminars, reading current literature, and taking online courses to meet accreditation standards.
• Ensure students follow catalog guidelines daily.
• Attend all mandatory meetings.
• Serve on committees (e.g., curriculum development, retention) as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Minimum of 2 years field experience.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Preference for experienced instructors.

• Part‑time.
• Day shift (9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.).
• Evening shift (6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.).
• Monday – Thursday.
• Pay by course taught – $1,250.00 to $1,400.00 per course.
