About the Forum and our Workshop & Facilitation Services
For over 50 years, the Alaska Humanities Forum has built deep, trusting relationships across sectors, regions, and generations. Our team has designed and facilitated hundreds of workshops for youth, educators, businesses, people‑serving professionals, and community members. These experiences have helped thousands of Alaskans listen more deeply, navigate hard conversations with courage, and strengthen trust in their communities, outcomes confirmed through participant stories and consistent post‑workshop feedback.
Our Workshop & Facilitation Services program builds on this experience through partnerships with organizations across Alaska who want to strengthen their teams and our communities. AKHF offers fee‑for‑service workshops and facilitation tailored to their needs, including values and visioning, facilitating impactful gatherings and conversations, navigating difference and conflict, cross‑cultural engagement, and storytelling. AKHF staff bring deep local knowledge, statewide networks, strong administrative capacity, project management expertise, and a commitment to cultural responsiveness and community‑driven approaches to help organizations strengthen relationships, navigate complex challenges, and build capacity for collaboration and shared action.
