Job Title: Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer (Rotational - 14 on 14 off)
Location: Anchorage, AK / Dead Horse, AK
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr Rotating Equipment Engineer to support preventative maintenance and reliability optimization for upstream oil and gas production facilities located in the North Slope of Alaska. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of essential rotating equipment in extreme operational environments.
As part of a high-performing team, you’ll apply your expertise in vibration analysis, condition monitoring, and equipment troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations across our field assets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of rotating equipment including compressors, pumps, turbines, and motors.
- Drive predictive and preventative maintenance strategies across upstream facilities.
- Perform advanced vibration analysis and interpretation of condition monitoring data to detect, diagnose, and mitigate mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to develop equipment strategies and improve asset reliability.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimization related to rotating machinery performance.
- Manage third-party vendors, ensure adherence to standards, and oversee quality control on equipment-related projects.
- Contribute technical leadership during equipment failures and root cause analysis.
- Support equipment reliability KPIs and reporting for senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Other engineering degrees will be considered with relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in vibration analysis, condition monitoring, and rotating equipment reliability in upstream oil & gas or similar heavy industry.
- Proven expertise in preventative maintenance planning and execution.
- Strong knowledge of API and OEM standards related to rotating machinery.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
