Job Overview

Jacobs is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems for state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities, including data centers. You will develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.

• Design and optimize control systems for various process applications.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, and specify instrumentation.
• Document and model design information for control system components.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world‑class solutions.
• Provide on‑site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with discipline leads.
• Ensure schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in instrumentation and control.
• Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other controls applications (preferred).
• Experience working with data centers.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices, and proactive in contributing innovative ideas.
• Ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams.

Base pay range: $69,500 – $95,500 per year, based on skills and experience.

United States – Any U.S. location. Candidates are ideally located near a Jacobs U.S. office, but talent can be sourced nationwide.
