I and C Engineer - Entry Level (Data Centers)

Join Jacobs as an entry-level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer. You’ll work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities, contributing to schedule, technical quality, and startup support while collaborating across teams.

$58,656.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr

You will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, familiarize yourself with client expectations, scope, budget and schedule, and provide on‑site assistance during startup. As part of a multi‑disciplinary team, you’ll help design and optimize control systems, develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information in compliance with building codes and industry standards.

• Associate’s or Engineering Technician degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering
• Working knowledge of Revit software (preferred)
• Engineer in Training (EIT) licensure or intent to obtain
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute innovative ideas
• Quick learner with a drive to broaden knowledge base
• Collaboration skills with multi‑disciplinary teams
• Passion for buildings and construction
• Prior experience with DDC and PLC‑based control systems
• Experience with data‑center design or operations
