JOB SUMMARY

The Turbine Mechanic is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance activities on utility systems and associated equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Maintain competency in troubleshooting turbines, reciprocating gas compressors, air compressors pumps and valves.
  • Install and maintain various pumps and pump seals.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on utility systems and equipment.
  • Inspect, identify and repair/rebuild identified mechanical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspection and maintenance activities.
  • Organize and work alongside installation contractors.
  • Maintain competency with the use of computers for research, material ordering, writing and updating work orders.
  • Work in a team environment and maintain good communication.
  • Act as a single point of contact dealing with offsite and onsite vendors, contractors, and other team members.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
  • Support AES zero‑incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Driver License
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry
  • Prior experience working on the North Slope
