We are partnering with a growing architecture and engineering firm operating in a primarily remote environment. Their work spans a wide geographic footprint and includes complex structural projects in challenging environments. They prioritize experienced engineers, strong collaboration, and flexibility, regardless of where team members are located.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Perform structural analysis and design across a variety of project types including wood frame, steel frame, and pre engineered metal buildings
  • Design foundations and structural systems for projects in high snow load and high seismic regions
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation
  • Apply governing building codes, standards, and engineering best practices
  • Collaborate closely with architects and designers to integrate structural solutions
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for accuracy and code compliance
  • Conduct occasional site visits as needed with company covered travel
  • Manage independent engineering work while coordinating within a remote team
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a US accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of professional structural engineering experience
  • Active Professional Engineer license in Washington
  • Alaska license strongly preferred
  • If not licensed in Alaska, must have a clear and realistic path to obtain licensure through NCEES within a reasonable timeframe
  • Willingness and ability to complete Cold Regions Engineering coursework if required
  • Strong experience with snow load, seismic, and wind governed design
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA 3D or equivalent
  • Experience working in a remote, collaborative engineering environment
  • Must be a US citizen residing in the United States
  • Preference for candidates located in the western US due to meeting schedules
