Job Description
Insight Global is searching for a Telecommunications Construction Manager to support our client in Anchorage, AK. This role requires 40% travel across Alaska, with the remaining time spent working remotely. The Construction Manager will oversee large-scale initiatives and is responsible for developing and implementing projects, programs, and procedures. This role will focus heavily on OSP projects, including fiber-to-the-home deployments, utility relocation efforts for federal and state agencies, and construction of new fiber and coax infrastructure.
This individual will conduct in-person site walks to gather field data, validate conditions, and provide critical details for final design packages and bill of materials development.
- 45% contract and manage outside consultants and contractors.
- 15% create project scope of work (SOW) and bill of materials (BOM), and oversee and participate in the procurement of materials.
- 10% develop and maintain project budgets.
- 10% develop and maintain project schedules, including traditional Gantt and PERT charts.
- 10% support and define project scopes with internal and external customers, and oversee and participate in the development and resourcing of materials.
- 10% ensure complete documentation of projects.

- 4-5 years of Construction Management experience within telecommunication or utilities industry.
- Experience managing consultants, contractors, developing scopes of works, managing bill of materials, and conducting site walks.
- Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC) and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Management, Business, Telecommunications.
- Construction Management (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.
- NCTI Course – “Project Management.”
- OSP or fiber specific experience.
- Experience as an operations technician within telecommunication industry.
