Accounting/Finance/Treasury - GL Reconciliations and Accounts Payable Manager (Remote – AK, AZ, CA, FL, NV, TX, WA, WY)

Reporting to the Controller, this role is a hands‑on key position responsible for planning, directing and managing all GL reconciliation and Accounts Payable functions for the credit union. The manager oversees the day‑to‑day operational activities of the team, ensures accurate and timely completion of activities, and drives efficiencies and cost savings.

• Review and approve daily journal entries, GL activity and A/P check issuance runs.
• Research, resolve accounting errors and transaction discrepancies promptly.
• Support branch operations with timely resolution of A/P outages.
• Maintain weekly log of invoices received versus expected and reconcile vendor database.
• Prepare budget projections annually and maintain fixed asset schedules.
• Deliver coaching, performance reviews and training to the A/P team.
• Lead continuous improvement automation projects and vendor assessment initiatives.
• Serve as backup for all operational A/P functions and posting outsourced portfolios.
• Collaborate with internal business partners and external agencies to resolve issues.

• At least 3 years of advanced/senior level experience in GL reconciliation and Accounts Payable.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts, practices and related regulations.
• Understanding of NCUA rules and financial institution accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.

• 3–5 years of advanced/senior level experience in GL accounting and A/P for a financial institution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance; 5+ years of related experience may substitute a degree.
