As a Lead Ultrasound Technologist, you will be part of our friendly and compassionate Ultrasound team. We are proud to provide the “care like family” mission of the hospital. We are looking for someone with excellent leadership abilities and an interest in being part of a team that works hard to support each other where patients are the center of all we do.
Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate all daily operations including patient exams, personnel schedules, and physician services within the Ultrasound department.
- Provide technical leadership within the department and demonstrate extensive ultrasound knowledge and skills.
- Manage staff, resources and departmental goals and objectives.
- Direct workflow, facilitate employee, patient or physician complaints/concerns and use sound professional judgment to recommend action related to such matters.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring and be responsible for training and evaluating employees of the ultrasound department.
- Keep up with current technological advancements to recommend and/or implement new protocols.
- Rotate shifts and take call as needed.
- Perform all assigned duties by the Assistant Director or Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT), Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, vocational graduate, or accredited ultrasound school graduate.
- Three (3) years of ultrasound experience in a hospital environment preferred.
- ARDMS certification.
- Vascular RVT registered.
- Completion of a training program from an accredited school of Ultrasound.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and certification.
