Providence Alaska Medical Center, Anchorage, AK – Per‑diem, full‑time day shifts, 0.01 FTE.
OverviewUnder supervision, the Endoscopy Technician assists in endoscopic procedures, performs patient‑care duties such as positioning, vital‑sign monitoring, and supports Registered Nurses. The role also includes technical assistance to surgeons, managing room logistics, and clerical tasks.
Responsibilities- Assist in endoscopic procedures under close supervision.
- Position patients, observe and record vital signs.
- Support Registered Nurses during care activities.
- Facilitate patient flow, transportation, and room stocking.
- Order supplies, answer phones, and perform clerical duties.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- National Provider BLS certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
- Minimum 6 months of Endoscopy Procedure Technician experience.
- Completion of a certified nursing course, medical‑assistant course, or related health‑care training.
- 1 year of general clerical and patient‑care experience in a health‑care setting.
