Alaska Seeds of Change provides horticultural programming and flexible activity spaces for AKBH providers to utilize with their clients.
Our team maintains the growing systems, hydroponic operations, and shared environments that make these opportunities possible. In addition to cultivating plants and sustaining productive growing spaces, Seeds staff support in developing workplace and operational skills through hands-on learning experiences.
By preparing and maintaining activity spaces, supporting therapeutic and educational programming, and fostering meaningful opportunities for participation, Seeds of Change helps create an environment where individuals can learn, contribute, build confidence, and grow alongside their communities.
The Service Coordinator helps turn clinical teams' requests to use Seeds into organized, prepared, and well-supported sessions. This position coordinates scheduled use of Seeds space by AKBH clinical programs, volunteers, field trip groups, and community partners. This position works closely with the Growth Coordinator and Operations Associates to ensure scheduled activities are organized, prepared, and supported while helping connect Seeds with the broader AKBH and Anchorage communities.
The Service Coordinator also helps lead Seeds community engagement and communications efforts and supports apprentices developing workplace and interpersonal skills.
Coordinate scheduled use of Seeds spaces and activities with AKBH clinical teams and other scheduled participants.
Work closely with the Growth Coordinator and Operations Associates to ensure spaces, stations, and activities are prepared for scheduled use.
Coordinate volunteers, field trips, tours, and community visits, and lead or support these activities as needed.
Maintain routine communications with community partners, volunteers, and supporters in coordination with the Program Manager.
Support apprentices in developing workplace readiness, hospitality, communication, and group support skills.
Work collaboratively with the Program Manager and Growth Coordinator to support continuity of the Seeds operations and provide appropriate coverage when needed.
Coordinates Seeds social media activity and team contributions to AKBH communications, helping ensure content is timely, appropriate, and consistent with Seeds and AKBH expectations.
Position is based in Anchorage, Alaska
Full-Time, non-exempt:
This is a variable hour role where weekly shift lengths may range between 30 and 40 hours based on your needs and operational needs.
Pay Range: $25.00 - $31.97
Schedule is Sunday
- Thursday. Schedule may occasionally shift to Saturday
- Wednesday based on scheduled programs, events, or service needs.

Bachelor's degree or 5 + years' experience coordinating or leading groups
Experience in volunteer coordination, event planning, or program support
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfort working in a dynamic environment
Interest in behavioral health and/or therapeutic program settings
Friendly, organized, and enthusiastic about community-building
Trauma-informed and adaptable to shifting needs
Strong communicator who enjoys working with a variety of people
Able to model professionalism, flexibility, and teamwork
