Position: Autopsy Technician (PCN 061993)
What you will be doing:

As the Autopsy Technician, you will assist the State Medical Examiner Forensic Pathologists with forensic postmortem examinations. Your responsibilities will include conducting a range of activities to assist in determining the cause and manner of death. These activities include, but are not limited to, photography, radiology, the collection of postmortem specimens, fingerprinting, and the collection and preservation of evidence.

The working environment you can expect:

This position is located at 5455 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. in Anchorage. The daily work environment involves standing for long periods of time, frequent lifting, and maneuvering of bodies, exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous substances, and noxious odors. The ability to lift and maneuver up to 300 pounds with mechanical devices is required.
