Part-time Caregiver | $19-25/Hour DOE | Anchorage Flexible Schedule | Mileage Reimbursement | Weekly Pay

Looking for a flexible caregiving position where you can make a difference without committing to a full-time schedule?

Bright Star Care of Anchorage is hiring Part-time Caregivers to provide compassionate, dependable in-home care to clients throughout the Anchorage area.

This position is ideal for experienced caregivers looking for supplemental income, flexible scheduling, or opportunities to pick up additional shifts based on their availability.

As a part-time caregiver, you'll provide care in clients' homes, with assignments varying based on client needs, scheduling demands, and your availability. Hours are scheduled based on client/caregiver fit, availability and willingness to travel to clients’ homes.
Mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible work-related travel.

What You’ll Do

Depending on each client's individualized plan of care, responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal care needs
  • Supporting clients with walking, transfers, positioning, and mobility
  • Providing companionship and assistance with daily activities
  • Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
  • Providing medication reminders as permitted
  • Performing light housekeeping and linen changes
  • Providing transportation to appointments, activities, or shopping when assigned
  • Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
  • Accurately documenting care provided
  • Supporting each client's safety, dignity, privacy, and independence
Who We're Looking For

We're looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers who are comfortable working independently in clients' homes and can adapt to different care needs and environments.

Required:
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel to client homes throughout the Anchorage area
  • Dependable attendance and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow an established plan of care
  • Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling, timekeeping, and care documentation
  • Ability to meet required employment health and safety screenings
Preferred:
  • Previous caregiving, PCA, or CNA experience
  • Experience assisting with personal care, mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living
  • Current CNA certification or CPR certification
Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on caregiving position. Caregivers must be able to perform essential job duties, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and assisting clients with mobility and personal care.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and use appropriate equipment and safe transfer techniques as required by the client's care plan.
