Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for an interim contract opportunity at a behavioral health hospital in Anchorage, AK. This position involves overseeing pharmacy operations, supporting medication safety, and maintaining regulatory compliance in a specialized inpatient environment serving pediatric and detox patients.

Requirements

Ability to fulfill Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities

Acute care or behavioral health pharmacy experience preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate with hospital staff

Availability for potential weekend on-call coverage

Responsibilities

Review and enter medication orders, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness

Monitor medication therapies and identify potential safety concerns

Oversee Omnicell medication management and verification

Maintain pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance as Pharmacist-in-Charge

Collaborate with clinical staff to support safe medication administration

Coordinate with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient daily workflows

$80+/hr
