We are seeking an Electronics Repair Technician to support the FAA's Alaska Satellite Telecommunications Infrastructure (ASTI) contract.

This role is essential to maintaining the reliability and performance of mission‑critical systems that keep Alaska's aviation infrastructure operating safely and efficiently.

Applicants selected will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust. Must be a U.S. citizen or a 3‑year permanent resident (green card holder). Quecon is unable to sponsor candidates at this time.

This is a full‑time position, Monday–Friday, reporting on‑site to the ASTI Depot in Anchorage, Alaska.

About the Role

The Electronics Repair Technician will perform FAA‑approved repairs, configuration, troubleshooting, and logistics functions in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment. This position requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a responsive, high‑performing team.

Key Responsibilities
Electronics Repair & Technical Support
  • Perform component‑level repairs on FAA‑authorized equipment, adhering strictly to approved procedures.

  • Troubleshoot, document, and repair items returned from the field; generate detailed repair records and technical reports.

  • Configure systems and components only as approved by the FAA-no unauthorized modifications or deviations.

  • Apply or learn ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling practices.

  • Maintain the highest levels of accuracy and craftsmanship-"good enough" is not acceptable.

Data Entry & Asset Tracking
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel as part of daily documentation workflow.

  • Perform precise data entry into our stand‑alone asset tracking system.

  • Ensure meticulous and consistent recordkeeping to support traceability and audit requirements.

Inventory, Stock, & Logistics
  • Manage inventory activities including pulling, staging, replenishing stock, and completing orders.

  • Accurately complete associated forms and maintain organized inventory zones.

  • (Preferred) Understanding of Alaska‑specific logistics, including remote shipping and weather‑related considerations.

Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma + 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Technical background as an Electronics Technician or equivalent hands‑on repair experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite-Teams, Word, and Excel are essential.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent, error‑free work.

  • Ability to work independently while managing shifting priorities and quick‑turn tasks.

  • Effective teamwork skills to support group efforts during high‑volume or urgent project periods.

  • Must meet federal security requirements for a Position of Public Trust.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ESD protocols or ESD certification.

  • Prior experience supporting FAA programs or regulated repair environments.

  • Logistics or inventory experience, especially within Alaska's unique transportation challenges.
