Desktop Support Representative I at Calista Brice LLC
Join us as a Desktop Support Representative I, working onsite in Anchorage, AK and providing first-level technical assistance to end users by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop systems, software, peripherals, and related technology. Whatcan you expect?
• Pay Range: $28.00–$32.00 per hour.
• Regular hours with potential travel to client sites for on‑site support.

Responsibilities- Provide technical troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, and maintenance of desktop systems via phone, remote access, and on‑site support.
- Document service activities and maintain accurate logs of repairs, fixes, and system changes.
- Monitor and track assigned service requests to ensure completion within required timelines.
- Recommend system or application adjustments to improve reliability and prevent recurring issues.
- Communicate with customers about service status, recurring issues, and recommended solutions.
- Provide basic technical training and guidance to end users.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain current knowledge of desktop technologies and support processes.
- Configure and deploy hardware, software, and related equipment for new users.
- Travel to client sites as needed to provide on‑site support.
- Create and update IT documentation, procedures, and reference materials.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Knowledge of Desktop Services and Support environments, best practices, and security requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, other standard business applications.
- Familiarity with Remote Access products (Microsoft Remote Desktop, Citrix, Share File, Go To Meeting ).
- Understanding of LANs, WANs, TCP/IP and networking configuration.
- Basic computer programming concepts and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong diagnostic, prioritization, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- High level of customer service, active listening, and follow‑up.
- Ability to assist users in selecting appropriate hardware and software.
- Familiarity with safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a stressful environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
- Associate’s degree or vocational certificate in an applicable technical discipline. Equivalent experience with current IT certifications (A+, Network+) may be considered.
- Minimum of one year of experience in technical support of a computer network and desktop environment.
- Ability to travel intracity in Alaska 20%–25% of the time.
- Valid state driver’s license and compliance with the Company’s Driving Policy.
- Pass drug, driving, and background screenings.
- Relevant professional certifications.
This position operates in a professional office environment, using computers, phones, printers, and scanners. Work may also be performed at client sites and field locations. The environment is fast‑paced, multitasking and customer‑service oriented. Flexibility, occasional overtime, and adaptive scheduling may be required.
