Alacrity Solutions is a nationwide appraisal company with a local presence. We offer technology and management resources to achieve our clients’ objectives and provide opportunities for experienced Independent Appraisers. This role is the Independent Field Auto Estimator for Anchorage, AK.

Auto Estimators verify and provide electronic estimates on the cost of repairs for automobiles. An estimator reviews each assignment by speaking with the owner or representative, researching records, and inspecting the involved property to the satisfaction of the client and/or claimant.

• Contact Alacrity clients to complete inspections/appraisals within given time frames.
• Travel within designated territory to inspect auto loss sites and gather necessary information.
• Inspect all angles of the vehicle, both interior and exterior, and document findings with quality photos where required.
• Establish repair requirements and cost estimates for losses and evaluate cost of repairs; negotiate operations where appropriate.
• Deliver a positive customer service experience to internal and external clients.
• Meet cycle-time and quality KPIs in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Maintain current knowledge of local industry repair procedures and local market pricing.
• Submit detailed auto inspections and reports summarizing damages and any open items.

• Promptly and effectively handle assignments to conclusion; make decisions within delegated authority per client policies and procedures; maintain professional conduct.
• Working knowledge of Department of Insurance and state regulations.
• Ability to identify potential or questionable damages and communicate findings clearly to the client.
• Ability to plan and navigate daily routes efficiently using available tools to assist with inspections and appraisals.
• Ability to inspect all vehicle areas (interior and exterior) and perform accurate cost estimates for losses.
• Professional communication skills (verbal and written) and a customer-focused mindset.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
• Professional business attire when serving the public.

• State licensing required (if applicable).
• Appraiser’s license – if applicable to location.
• Adjuster’s license – if applicable to location.
• I-CAR Certification preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous auto estimating experience required.
• Mitchell, CCC, Audatex experience a plus.

• Self-determined scheduling with the ability to manage your day.
• Potential annual earnings: $85K - $165K (estimate based on payment at standard percentage of each auto file and average annual auto files nationwide).

100% travel within the designated working territory is required. Normal office or field claims environment. Ability to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods, inspect auto loss sites, and work outdoors in all weather. Availability to work catastrophic loss events and irregular hours; occasional overnight travel may be required.
