LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our law firm client in Anchorage, AK. This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary, excellent law firm benefits, a collaborative team and is fully onsite downtown Anchorage. The role is a great opportunity to grow with a mid‑size, regional firm that has multiple offices and training and ongoing support.
This Litigation Legal Assistant will provide administrative assistance to attorneys, including managing correspondence and calendars, editing high‑level legal documents, preparing in‑person and electronic filings, verifying legal citation, and ensuring litigation deadlines are met. This role requires 4+ years of legal assistant experience and strong document editing and formatting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and proofread correspondences and legal documents
- Manage attorney calendars and keep apprised of approaching litigation deadlines
- Maintain digital files and ensure compliance with firm procedures
- Prepare pleadings and court filings for electronic and in‑person filing in state, federal, and appellate courts
- Verify legal citation and formatting to court standards
- Assist with time entry and provide billing support
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of legal assistance experience
- Experience with Alaska court systems and e‑filing process
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office suite, including strong document editing and formatting skills
