Snow Shovelers

Snow Shoveler - Seasonal

We're gearing up for the winter season and looking for reliable Snow Shovelers to keep sidewalks, entryways, parking lots, and walkways clear and safe. This is physical, outdoor work in Alaska winter conditions, and reliability matters most, since snow doesn't wait for a shift to start.

Responsibilities

• Shovel and clear snow from sidewalks, entryways, stairs, and walkways
• Apply ice melt/sand to prevent slip hazards
• Operate snow removal equipment (snow blowers, plows) as assigned
• Monitor weather and report to assigned sites promptly when snow events occur
• Keep designated areas clear throughout a storm, not just after it ends
• Report hazards, equipment issues, or site damage to a supervisor
• Maintain and clean equipment after use

Requirements

• Ability to lift and shovel repeatedly for full shifts
• Comfortable working outdoors in cold, snowy, and icy conditions
• Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as storms require (this is weather-driven, not a fixed schedule)
• Reliable transportation and consistent availability during winter months
• Valid driver's license (if operating company vehicles/equipment)
• Prior snow removal or outdoor labor experience a plus, not required

Job Type

Seasonal, on-call/as-needed based on snowfall

Pay

$19.00-$25.00/hr, depending on experience

Benefits

• Shift length varies by storm
