The Student Nutrition Business Manager is a strategic role in the oversight and execution of financial, administrative, and operational processes within the Student Nutrition Department. This position is responsible for ensuring fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in alignment with district policies and industry best practices. The business manager supervises administrative personnel, leads process improvement initiatives, and assists in the development of strategic financial planning models to optimize resource utilization.
This role involves cross‑functional collaboration with department leadership, school administrators, external agencies, and vendors to enhance operational performance, budget management, and overall program effectiveness. The position has a retirement association with the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS).
- A bachelor’s degree in business, management, accounting or other related areas.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget oversight and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Five years of experience in business management, accounting, marketing, process engineering, or operational research and analysis.
- Prior food service experience.
- Knowledge of financial management techniques and modern food service management principles.

- Previous product management or related experience.
