JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is searching for a Telecommunications Construction Manager to support our client in Anchorage, AK. This role requires 40% travel across Alaska, with the remaining time spent working remotely. The Construction Manager will oversee large‑scale initiatives and is responsible for developing and implementing projects, programs, and procedures. This role will focus heavily on OSP projects, including fiber‑to‑the‑home deployments, utility relocation efforts for federal and state agencies, and construction of new fiber and coax infrastructure.

This individual will conduct in‑person site walks to gather field data, validate conditions, and provide critical details for final design packages and bill of materials development.

• 45% Contract and manage outside consultants and contractors.
• 15% Create project scope of work (SOW) and bill of materials (BOM), and oversee and participate in the procurement of materials.
• 10% Develop and maintain project budgets.
• 10% Develop and maintain project schedules, including traditional Gantt and PERT charts.
• 10% Support and define project scopes with internal and external customers, and oversee and participate in the development and resourcing of materials.
• 10% Ensure complete documentation of projects.

• 4-5 years of Construction Management experience within telecommunication or utilities industry
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, developing scopes of works, managing bill of materials, and conducting site walks
• Familiar with National Electric Code (NEC) and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Management, Business, Telecommunications
• Construction Management (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications
• NCTI Course – “Project Management”
• OSP or fiber specific experience
• Experience as an operations technician within telecommunication industry

Job Type: Full time; 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8-5 hybrid, 40% travel by plane in Alaska

Hourly Pay: $40-$65

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
