American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center with 2+ years of emergency experience and required ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
- Combined adult/pediatric general ER with Level II Trauma Center designation
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Evening shift, 3x12 hours (15:00-03:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities required
- No floating required outside of scope
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Active AK RN license required prior to start, Compact license accepted at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
- Preferred certifications: AVADE, NIHSS
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Cultural sensitivity to the Alaska Native population required
- Experience with complex social history cases including domestic violence situations
- Provide emergency care for a wide range of pediatric and adult conditions including trauma, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
- Navy scrub color required
- Magnet-designated facility with 152 staffed beds
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, locals not accepted
- Maximum one week RTO allowed, with hours made up at the end of the assignment
- Expected to work facility holiday schedule, which may include 3 of 4 major holidays
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous staff must have a 2-year gap before returning as a traveler
- COVID vaccination required for consideration
