American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with a current AK RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification for a 13-week assignment at a Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated hospital.
Requirements- Active AK RN license required in hand prior to offer
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Proficiency with Cath Lab procedures and skills including ACT monitoring, sheath removal, hemodynamic monitoring, and interventional catheterization procedures
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and IABP placement/removal
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Work in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours (7:00 AM-5:00 PM)
- On-call required one day per week plus every 4th/5th weekend (Friday 1800 to Monday 0730)
- Approximately one Saturday per month included as part of the scheduled 4 shifts per week
- May float within scope to EP or Interventional Radiology as facility needs require
- Uses Epic for charting
- Provide nursing care in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital recognized as a top hospital in Alaska
- Scrubs provided by facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
- Only one time off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the state as needed
