We’re looking for Snow Grooming
professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska
.

As a Snow Groomer 1, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a consistent snow surface for Alyeska Resort guests through the operation of the resort’s grooming equipment. This entry level position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, quality, and appearance of the resort’s snow surfaces.

• Arrive at work on time, rested, and ready for shift.
• Operate snow/slope grooming equipment to maintain the appearance and quality of the resort’s ski slopes and trails to the highest level possible.
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members to ensure the quality and safety of groomed areas.
• Attend daily crew briefings: paying close attention to safety concerns, details, and instructions.
• Obtain a general knowledge of mountain terrain and adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Conduct and document pre and post operational inspections on grooming equipment and communicate issues with Vehicle Maintenance personnel to ensure proper equipment maintenance.
• Complete required documentation such as grooming logs as needed.
• Communicate clearly and effectively via 2-way radio.
• Identify and contain fuel and oil leaks in accordance with company policy.
• Report any property loss incidents and/or unusual operation immediately to the Assistant Mountain Terrain Manager.

  From $20 per hour

• Must be minimum 18 year of age.
• Previous heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills for snow grooming machinery.
• Manual dexterity/grasp of hand to use all tools and equipment.

Be on alert and at times, on your feet for long periods, including nights, weekends, & holidays.

Work in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment.

Adapt to seasonal changes around the resort and special events.

Ability to lift up-to 60 pounds, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment and stand for extended periods of time in a dynamic mountain environment.

This role occasionally involves extended hours, nights, and weekends to accommodate peak business periods. This position involves working outdoors in challenging weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, and high winds.
