Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.30 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, resolving inquiries and problems, and working with a variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Details depend on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise effectively.
• Performs sales and loan transactions per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; maintains a respectful team environment.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods; able to meet physical requirements in accordance with laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Occasional exterior duties or product retrieval may be required.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office equipment.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
