Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail Sales
Central Pet Distribution is hiring Part‑Time Merchandisers. 20‑25 hours per week with weekends and evenings off. The crew works independently to visit retail accounts in the Anchorage, AK area. We provide the nation’s top brands of pet supplies and ensure shelves are stocked and displays are maintained. This role suits a customer‑service oriented, organized and dependable individual with strong time‑management skills.
Location: Anchorage, AK area
Shift Details: Part‑time – 20 to 25 hours per week
- Receive, unpack, and scan inbound inventory via R/F unit; merchandise product onto store shelves.
- Place replenishment orders for designated products.
- Count, pack, and arrange for pickup/delivery of returned goods.
- Develop relationships with Back Door Receivers.
- Work closely with store sales staff regarding shelf maintenance and merchandising standards.
- Construct and assemble displays; rotate interior displays and signage per promotional changes.
- Consistently monitor e‑mail and voicemail for communication requests.
- Practice exceptional safety measures when driving.
- Display excellent customer service while interacting with store managers and employees.
- Previous merchandising experience.
- Strong communication skills to interact with store personnel and consumers.
- Ability to use box cutters, bar‑coding scanners, push carts, and dollies safely.
- Must have a smartphone.
- Must have computer or access to a computer.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Responsible, reliable and dependable work habits.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
- Ability to bend, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs consistently throughout the day.
- Ability to bend, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally throughout the day.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
- Work conducted at retail grocery stores in loading/unloading areas and on sales floors.
- Driving to/from and between retail locations done in personal vehicle.
