Loading Dock & Door Technician

Overview

Loading Dock & Door Technician role at North West Handling Systems. Responsibilities include service & installation of loading dock/material handling products. Technicians travel daily to customer locations to provide services dependent on our customer’s needs. Duties include installation of new dock and door equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing customer equipment, and providing a high level of customer service. Day to day, technicians will work with electrical, hydraulic and mechanical repairs and installations.

• Install and service loading dock and door equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot customer equipment.
• Travel to customer locations as required and respond to service calls.
• Document findings and work performed; maintain clear communication with customers during installations, service or maintenance calls.
• Ensure a high level of customer service in the field.

• Experience in material handling preferred; 3 or more years’ experience eligible for a one-time $3,000 bonus after 12 months of continuous employment.
• Ability to work with electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Adaptable to a changing work schedule and a consistent flow of service calls.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document and report findings and work performed.

• Starting pay: $27.00/hour DOE
• $1,500 Signing Bonus after completing 12 months of employment
