Responsibilities:

Testcircuitsandcomponentsofmalfunctioningtelecommunicationsequipmenttoisolatesourcesofmalfunctions,utilizingdifferenttypesofhandtools.
Test repaired,newly installed,orupdatedequipmenttoensurethatitfunctionsproperlyandconformstospecifications,usingtestequipmentandobservation.
Repairorreplacefaultyequipmentsuchasdefectiveanddamagedtelephones,wires,switchingsystemcomponents,andassociatedequipment.
Removeandremakeconnectionstochangecircuitlayouts,followingengineeringplans,workordersordiagrams.
Demonstrateequipmenttocustomersandexplainhowitistobeused,andrespondtoanyinquiriesorcomplaints.
Analyzetestreadings,computer printouts,andtroublereportstodetermineequipmentrepairneedsandrequiredrepairmethods.
Adjustormodifyequipmenttoenhanceequipmentperformanceortorespondtocustomerrequests.
Runappropriatepower,ground,orcoaxialcables.
Installallnecessarytransmissionequipmentcomponents,includingantennasorantennamounts,surgearrestors,transmission lines,connectors,orTMAs.
Conductsselfsafelyatalltimes,ensuresasafeareaforothers,andcompletesrequiredtraining,assessmentsandreportstimely.
