Telecom Techniciantojoinour Operations &Maintenance(O&M) teamsupportingcriticaltelecommunicationsinfrastructureacrossthe

North

Slope oilfield.

Thispositionplaysakeyroleintheongoingoperation,troubleshooting,andmaintenanceofdiversetelecomsystemsacrossremoteandindustrialworksites.

Theselectedcandidatewillberesponsibleforsupportingandmaintainingsystemssuchas

VoIP,wirelessaccesspoints,microwaveradiolinks,RF communications,andrelatedtelecomsystemsinsupportofoilfieldandindustrialoperations.

Thisisahands-onfieldrolerequiringamotivated,adaptabletechnicianwhoworkswellindependentlyandaspartofasmallteam.

Successinthispositionwillrelyheavilyonthecandidate’sabilitytolearn,problem-solve,communicatewellwithothers,andmaintainapositiveandproactiveattitude.

• Operate,maintain,andtroubleshoottelecomsystemsincluding:
• VoIP systems,two-wayradios,microwave radios.
• Wirelessaccesspoints,structured cabling,switches,and routers.
• Telecominfrastructuresupportingremoteoilfieldandindustrialoperations.
• Perform diagnostics,replacefailedcomponents,andezecutefield-levelrepairsorconfigurations.
• Conductradioprogramming(Motorola,Aviat,etc.)andassistwithmicrowavelinktuningandvalidation.
• Perform rooftop,manlift,platform,andoccasionallighttowerworkforinspections,repairs,orsystemaccess.
• RespondtoO&Mserviceticketswithhighreliabilityandfield-levelproblemsolving.
• Maintainaccuratedocumentationincludingsitevisitreports,configuration logs,redlines,andsitephotos.
• Workcloselywithengineers,project managers,andclientpersonneltoresolvefield-leveltechnicalissues.
• Followallsafetyprotocols,jobsafetyassessments(JSAs),andNSTIworkprocedures.

• 5+yearsofexperienceintelecommunications,IT,RFsystems,orstructuredcabling.
• FamiliaritywithVLANsandnetworkfundamentals(Layer2vsLayer3concepts,trunkvsaccessports).
• Basic routing/switchingconfigurationconcepts.
• WirelessandRFtroubleshooting.
• Basicknowledgeofradioprogramming,network troubleshooting,structured cabling,andmicrowavesystems.
• Abilitytoreadandredlinetelecomdrawings.
• Willingnesstotravel,liveonsiteduringrotationalschedules,andworkindependentlyinremoteenvironments.
• Strongattentiontodetail,documentation skills,andfollow-through.
• Mustholdorbeabletoobtainavalid Climband Rescue certification (lighttowerwork,manlift,rooftopplatformaccessrequired).

• Climband Rescuecertificationalreadyobtained.
• Hands-onexperiencewithspectrumanalyzers,Anritsusweepgear,orsimilartestequipment.
• Experiencewithfibersplicingandfiberoptictesting.
• Familiarity with Motorola or Aviatradiosystems .
• Prioroilfieldtelecom,O&M,orindustrialfieldexperience.
