Responsibilities:

Readworkorders,blueprints,plans,datasheetsorsitedrawingstodetermineworktobedone.
Mobilize&preptoolsandmaterialstoremotelocations.
Towerstackingconstruction.

Boltequipmentintoplace,usinghandorpowertools.
Installandtestappropriatepower,ground,coaxialorOSPcables.(fiberandcopper)
Checkantennapositioningtoensurespecifiedazimuthsormechanicaltiltsandadjustasnecessary.
Replaceexistingantennaswithnewantennasasdirected.
Installallnecessarytransmissionequipmentcomponents,includingantennasorantennamounts,surgearrestors,transmission lines,connectors,ortower-mounted amplifiers(TMAs).ISP.Microwave.
Performbasicrigging,usinghaul&tag systems.

Tiesolidknotsincludingthe Figure eight,Prussic,Alpinebutterflyand Waterknot
Testoperationoftowertransmissioncomponents,usingsweeptestingtoolsorsoftware.
Inspectcompletedworktoensureallhardwareistight,antennasarelevel,hangersareproperlyfastened,propersupportisinplace,oradequateweatherproofinghasbeeninstalled.
Takesitesurveyphotosorphotosofworkperformed,usingdigitalcameras.
Completereportsrelatedtoprojectstatus,progress,safetyreportingorotherworkdetails,usingcomputersoftware.
Conductsselfsafelyatalltimes,ensuresasafeareaforothers,andcompletesrequiredtraining,assessmentsandreportstimely.

ParticipatesinTHAortailgatejobsitemeetingsandcomplieswithclientsafetyprocedures.
AnyotherworkforwhichyouhavetheskillsandabilitytoperformthatfurthersthegoalsofNSTIandmeetstheneedsofitscustomers.

Skills Required(levelrequiredtiestolevelofposition):

Currentcertificationin Tower Climbing Safetyand Rescue required .
DemonstrateknowledgeofOSHAsafetyguidelinesandpracticaluseoftheseguidelinesaswellasallotherapplicablesafetylawsandpolicies.
Basictroubleshootingexperiencepreferred
Technicalknowledgeofwirelesstelecommunicationsproductspreferred
Willingnesstotakeonandlearnnewtasks,asneeded.
Abilitytomulti-taskinademandingenvironment.
Experienceintower-rigging preferred
Knowledge of Anritsuand/orPIMtestingpreferred.
