What You Will Be Doing:
Joining AMYA as a Team Leader allows you to play a vital role in supporting and guiding cadets aged 16-18, ensuring their overall welfare through accountability and supervision. Your involvement will help create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes personal growth and development, making a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals.

AMYA operates in a structured, para-military environment aimed at empowering Alaska's youth with essential life skills and values to foster their development into productive citizens. Utilizing the Experiential Learning Model, the program focuses on eight core components—leadership, teamwork, citizenship, life coping skills, health and hygiene, job skills, physical fitness training, and academic excellence—ensuring a comprehensive approach to personal growth.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
AMYA is proudly located on Joint Base Elmendorf/Fort Richardson (JBER) surrounded by the natural beauty of the Arctic Valley where you can enjoy a three-mile paved walking / jogging trail and have access to both an on-site café and no-cost fitness center at the Army National Guard Armory.
