Aircraft Maintenance Assistant

The Aircraft Maintenance Assistant at Pegasus Aviation Services is responsible for assisting Aircraft Maintenance Technicians in performing high quality routine and non‑routine maintenance for various types of aircraft. AMAs should possess basic math reasoning and troubleshooting skills, be mechanically inclined, and have the ability to read schematics.

• Aids various line maintenance related services of transport category aircraft, along with non‑routine and routine line maintenance activities.
• Completes all required maintenance records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Interprets technical manuals, engineering drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Operates all related ground handling equipment utilized to service the aircraft.
• Maintains a clean and neat work area for customers.
• Supports all company policies and safety programs to include AS9100, OSHA and EPA guidelines.
• Plays tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Exhibits professional appearance and attitude.
• Is reliable and dependable.
• Exhibits attention to detail and excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Enrolled in an Aircraft Maintenance Technician certification program pursuing a Airframe, Powerplant or both certificates.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license.
• Graduated from high school or earned a GED.
• Works cohesively as part of a team, under multilevel guidance and supervision.
• Willing to work long hours in inclement weather as necessary while adhering to strict regulatory specifications and guidance.
• Is at least 18 years of age.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of right to work in the U.S.
• Can lift 50 pounds comfortably.
• Fluently reads, writes, speaks, and understands English.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Can work under stressful situations and tight time constraints in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑motivated, team player.
• Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
• Successfully completes a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history and a pre‑employment drug test.
