Description
Responsible for the deliver of quality patient care ot the antepartum and the postpartum woman and her neonate, as well as Gyn surgical patients utilizing the nursing process. The quality of care given will be in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and the Department of Nursing and will maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, families and the community.
The Registered Nurse prescribes, delegates and coordinates all nursing care provided throughout the hospital.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nurising
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in labor and delivery, postpartum and nursery preferred.
- Current BCLS certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within three (3) months.
- Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia exam within three (3) months.
- Completion of Breast-feeding module within three (3) months.
- Completion of Epidural analgesia module within three (3) months.
- Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring interpretation and treatment within three (3) months.
