LDRP / Mother-Baby RN –
Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive patient care including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and ongoing assessment of maternal and newborn patients. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans while monitoring and communicating patient status to physicians, care teams, patients, and families. Assists with activities of daily living and provides patient/family education based on age, culture, and condition. Acts as a patient advocate for physical and emotional well-being.
Supports Labor & Delivery services by circulating during C-sections, assisting with deliveries, attending the neonatal station, and performing full newborn assessments post-delivery. Follows policies for recovery and surgical patient care. Maintains required certifications, including fetal monitoring and neonatal care.
Facility Requirements
- Certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN (must be attached at submission)
- License:
Active Alabama RN or Compact RN license (attached to resume) - Experience:
Minimum 5 years recent experience in LDRP, Mother-Baby, OB Triage, and newborn transition care
