This position requires a CDL license, preferably with a Tanker endorsement.

This position operates the Asphalt Distributor on road construction projects.

• Must have a current CDL license, preferably with Tanker endorsement, and the ability to learn to operate an Asphalt Distributor Truck.
• Set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi-automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt.
• Oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Ensure the equipment is in good working condition; perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string lines, and adjusting screed extensions.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug screening.

The duties described are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations in all units of measure.

The physical demands include frequent sitting, climbing, and hand use; occasional standing, walking, crawling, kneeling, bending, and reaching. The employee must occasionally lift/move 10-50 lbs. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
