Selected interns assist Sierra Pacific Industries’ Reforestation Professionals in establishing and maintaining planted forests to produce high‑quality timber for sawmills. Key duties include area layout and preparation, vegetation cover assessments, stocking surveys, and plantation thinning administration. Interns also work with Vegetation Management Specialists to establish and maintain fuel break networks and landscape fuel‑reduction areas, support the Conifer Nursery & Seed Center, and participate in an advanced tree‑improvement program.

This internship offers real‑world experience that may lead to employment upon graduation.

Wages range from $19.50 to $21.50 per hour. Compensation also includes a housing allowance for qualifying individuals.

Anderson, California.

• Current enrollment in or acceptance to an Agriculture, Forestry, Natural Resources, or related program of study (preferred).
• Ability to cross‑country hike and navigate steep, brushy terrain.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to navigate a four‑wheel‑drive vehicle on off‑highway roads.
